An on-going project of improving the use of energy throughout the Field Museum of Chicago using the latest in automated control systems. This system integrates the continuous mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades with a central automated control system that is able to communicate with and control these systems no matter who manufactured them. This gives the museum a more efficient way to control multiple systems. “BACnet” eliminates the need for additional sensors and increases the response time to climatic changes inside the museum.
